Background. For anyone who has gotten tattoos, what do you think is the *best* way to care for them? I've noticed that it tends to be either a&d ointment for the first week or so, followed by unscented lotion until fully healed, or tattoo he used a&d ointment.

A&d contains both vitamin a and d (hence the name) to treat. Its not just to slow the bleeding (which there shouldn't be too much of). Used by artists during the tattoo session and also used by clients for tattoo after care it also is widely used as a piercing needle lubricant.

The great thing about a&d. Generally a&d ointment is used by applying a thin layer during a tattoo. And don't try to use. Applied for after tattoo bandaging.
